Flat business cards are a
serious production problem for wholesalers. Depending on the ink and
stock combination, it can take days before some jobs are dry enough to
slit or guillotine cut. Even after waiting days, the ink will sometimes
still smear when run through a friction feeder. Offset powder, which is
often used to eliminate offsetting, adds to friction feeding and
slitting problems.

the time, hassles and waste associated with slitting flat business
cards.
The Air Feeder grips the
back surface of each card strip during feeding. Other card strips in the
feeder are suspended by an air flow to minimize contact with the strip
being fed. The feeder vacuum belt assembly and the adjustable double
sheet finger can be positioned to align with the gap between cards on
the card strip. This virtually eliminates any contact between ink on the
surface of the sheet and any part on the feeder.
Single or two sided
thermographed, embossed, and engraved business cards can also be fed
using the Air Feeder Option.
