THERM-O-TYPE Business Card Slitters


THERM-O-TYPE business card slitters are built to the highest quality standards. The AutoPro12 can accurately and efficiently slit standard, odd size, bleed and foldover business cards. The AutoPro12 can also slit, score and perforate a wide range of products.
The AutoPro12 uses a friction feeder to deliver sheets onto an alignment table with micro registration and skew adjustments. As each sheet is accurately aligned, it is fed into pinch rollers that control the sheet as it is advanced into the blade cassette. A second set of pinch rollers ejects the finished product from the machine. Finished product is delivered to a receiving tray or an optional delivery conveyor. Gutter and side edge scrap is directed into a customer provided scrap collection box that is placed within the stand.
	The AutoPro12 is currently the only business card slitter with an integrated sheet counter and four-digit display. The control panel also includes start/stop buttons, speed control pot, and four lights which indicate: an open guard, a paper jam, optical sensor activation and automatic machine interrupt conditions.
All electronic controls and interlocks are powered by a dedicated low voltage supply to enhance safety. Various combinations of gutter-cut slitting, as well as, in-line scoring and perforating blades and hubs can be mounted in removable cassettes. Blade cassettes can be changed in about a minute. Slitting blades are available to remove either a 6mm (.236") or a 1/8" (.125") wide gutter. Gutter-cut slitting blades allow bleed business cards and other products to be easily produced. When running a standard twelve-up business card format, sheets are slit into three strips of four cards in the first pass through the machine. After completing the first slitting pass, the blade cassette is changed and the card strips are slit into the finished business card size in a second pass through the machine.
	All slitting, scoring and perforating blades and hubs are mounted in removable blade cassettes.
The AutoPro12 can run over 12,000 four-up business card strips per hour, producing about 50,000 finished cards.
