Third Foil Roll Support Option for the NSF A3+ |

A growing number of NSF A3+ customers have requested a third foil support shaft. Common applications for this configuration include running twelve-up business cards, and applying security and/or scratch off foils to multiple-up cards with pin numbers. These products are typically laid out in three rows across the sheet. Customers running these jobs want to minimize foil waste and expense by using three narrow rolls of foil. The third foil roll support option splits the upper, full width foil support. A third foil tension brake is installed and connected to the existing upper foil tension control. Once this option has been installed, customers can use the upper foil roll position to support a full width foil roll or to support two narrow foil rolls in less than three minutes. The existing upper and lower foil break/out of foil sensors/interlocks function normally. However, the third foil support shaft/brake does not have a sensor/interrupt. The third foil roll support option works well and is a useful enhancement for a growing number of NSF A3+ customers. |
