Zip-10 Cutter/Slitter
THERM-O-TYPE Zip-10 Business Card Slitters are unique machines designed
to handle low quantity business cards and other multiple-up products
produced on ink jet and laser printers. The Zip-10 uses a replaceable
blade cassette to slit and/or score the sheet as it passes through the
machine. A guillotine cutter cross cuts the sheet as it is advanced
through the Zip-10 with a programmable paper drive. The combination of
in-line slitting/scoring with programmable guillotine cutting allows
common products (like 10-up business cards) to be accurately processed
in a single pass.
When running business cards, a bleed between the two rows of cards and edge trim is removed from both sides of the sheet. Card length is varied using the programmable cutter. This control allows a scissor cut or a variable size gutter to be removed between individual cards.
Combined with a laser or ink jet printer, the Zip-10 allows low volume business cards and other multiple-up products to be produced with ease.
