The THERM-O-TYPE Quad-12 Business Card Slitter is the only slitter
available designed to handle three of the hardest to produce, yet most profitable,
products in the business card industry; odd size, foldover and bleed cards. Standard size
business cards, as well as general slitting, scoring and perforating, can also be produced
using the Quad-12. Accurately setting the blade spacing is
exceptionally quick, using special gauges, and reconfiguring the type of tooling on the
blade shafts takes just a few minutes.
During operation, a large diameter friction feed wheel delivers up to
30,000 four up card strips per hour onto an adjustable alignment table to precisely
register each sheet before slitting. The stock is then delivered through a series of
adjustable partitions, onto a slow delivery conveyor.
Special blades take 1/16th of an inch of trim between the cards and
discards the scrap into a canvas bag located in the stand. Maximum size stock is 14
1/2" x 14 1/2".
