| Introduced in 1998, the THERM-O-TYPE SFX
Foil Stamping Press uses proven SF series technology but adds many
important improvements. Production speed has been increased to 6,000
impressions per hour. The mechanical paper registration system used on
the Super SF-2000 and SF-2005 presses has been replaced with a computer
controlled, electronic registration system.
Using the electronic registration system, the SFX
can imprint up to nine different positions on each sheet. Common
applications for this feature include: producing twelve-up business card
shells using a low cost four-up die, blind or foil embossing multiple-up
work with a single die, and die cutting multiple-up work with a single
steel rule die.
Additional SFX features include: air
blast foil separation, foil tension control clutch, digital heat
control, electronic counter with interrupt, die chase quick release/lock
up, DC speed control, centralized lubrication, impression pressure
adjustment and more.
The SFX can be equipped with the
Holographic Foil Registration and Slow Delivery Conveyor options. Using
the Holographic Registration option and the computer controlled paper
registration, security holograms can be applied on multiple up checks
and tickets using a single die, foil roll and hologram registration
system.
High production speed,
exceptionally fast set up, ease of operation, low cost dies and reduced
foil consumption make the SFX a powerful production tool.
